Infant CPR and First Aid Classes

Friends and Family First Aid for Children along with the Family and Friends Infant CPR Course is designed to teach the skills necessary to respond to any child in the event of an emergency. The skills learned in this class are geared toward the lay public to help save the life of your child or the child of a friend, family member, or neighbor. Family and Friends courses are an orientation to CPR and First Aid and is not a certifying or credentialing course. For credentialing courses in CPR, First Aid and AED, please call our office.

This class is recommended for anyone who will be providing care for children of all ages, such as parents, grandparents, care providers and friends. Even if you have attended a CPR or First Aid class in the past, it is important to review your skills before bringing a new baby home.

First Aid for Children

In this class you will:

Learn child safety, general principles of first aid and handling of medical, injury and environmental emergencies involving an infant or child.

Learn to manage children's injuries until professional help arrives as well as techniques for preventing injuries, administering basic first aid and relieving choking in infants and children.

Learn to reduce the risk of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) and prevent common injuries in infants.

Learn to recognize the signs of life-threatening emergencies in infants. Such as cardiac arrest, breathing difficulties, respiratory arrest and choking.

Learn to perform CPR.

$35.00 per person attending

Please read the Our Policies page prior to registering for any classes. By registering for any class, it will be assumed that you understand and agree to all Birthing and Beyond class policies.

Private Groups Available

If you have a group of people who would like to attend a private Family and Friends Infant CPR and First Aid for Children class, call our office today. We can arrange to meet the needs of your group in a private classroom setting.

There is limited space within these classes. Please register early for yourself and family members to ensure enrollment.
